Strengthening impact and alignment: Insights from the AIthena report on dissemination and standardisation activities

The latest public deliverable D6.5 from the AIthena project, ‘Report on Dissemination and Standardisation Activities’, provides a comprehensive overview of how the project has shared its results and engaged with key European and international stakeholders throughout its lifetime.

Developed under Work Package 6 (WP6), this report details the scientific, industrial and end-user dissemination activities undertaken by the consortium, as well as its contributions to standardisation and alignment with relevant policies and regulatory frameworks. These activities are crucial for ensuring that the outcomes of the AIthena project have a wider impact and support the adoption of trustworthy AI approaches in Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM).

Dissemination across scientific, industrial, and end-user communities

Deliverable D6.5 outlines the project’s structured dissemination strategy, which covers participation in scientific conferences, industry events, workshops, and collaborative initiatives. It highlights how the AIthena partners engaged with diverse audiences to communicate the project’s concepts, methodological advances and lessons learned relating to trustworthy, explainable and accountable AI for CCAM applications.

In parallel, the deliverable outlines dissemination activities focused on end users, with the aim of raising awareness of AIthena’s objectives and results among practitioners, public authorities, and other relevant stakeholders. These efforts complemented the project’s technical work by encouraging dialogue, providing opportunities for feedback, and facilitating the exchange of knowledge.

Supporting standardisation and policy alignment

A key part of the report is its overview of how AIthena has engaged with standardisation and regulatory processes. The deliverable documents how the project monitored and contributed to relevant standardisation activities and policy discussions, thereby ensuring alignment with emerging European frameworks for AI, data governance and automated mobility.

Overall, Deliverable D6.5 provides a comprehensive overview of the dissemination and standardisation activities carried out during the project. It demonstrates how AIthena proactively sought to maximise the visibility, relevance, and long-term impact of its results.
