The AIthena project has released its deliverable D5.3 ‘Report on final use case evaluation’. This comprehensive report presents the final assessment of AIthena four use cases, namely:
- UC-1: Trustworthy Perception Systems for CCAM,
- UC-2: AI extended Situational Awareness/Understanding,
- UC-3: Trustworthy and Human understandable decision-making,
- UC-4: AI-based Traffic Management; demonstrating the performance of AIthena’s methods, algorithms, and governance frameworks when applied to real-world and simulated Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) scenarios.
Based on earlier deliverables, including the initial evaluation in D5.2 and the final AI algorithms in D3.3, the new report provides detailed insights into KPI assessment, AI limitations and conflicts, and comparative performance across the AI pipelines developed within the project.
A milestone for trustworthy autonomous mobility
The D5.3 report marks a significant milestone in the validation of AIthena’s comprehensive approach to trustworthy AI. When considered alongside previous deliverables, ranging from algorithm development to digital twin testing, the evaluation confirms that the project is ready to contribute its methods, tools, and frameworks to future CCAM deployments.
The AIthena project’s work continues to pave the way for transparent, safe, and human-centred AI in mobility thanks to its unique combination of ethics, governance, robustness, and technical excellence.
